I have had this iron less than 3 months and it's already fizzling out. Starting to sputter and make noises. Just ordered a Rowenta before the thing breaks down completely.
I had Conair's top of the line for 5 years and loved it....they don't make it anymore. I shopped atTarget for a new iron. I thought Shark had a good reputation and bought the most expensive Shark there. It never did get hot enough, although it did seem to make good steam. I had to iron everything on the highest settings.
I read other reviews on it ONLY after I had bought it and everyone of them said that 3-6 months was the max for this iron. I hoped mine would prove different but alas, it didn't. Under 3 months....waste of money.
My very first iron, given to me as a wedding gift in 1975 was a GE. You know, the old black and stainless with blue cloth cord. It lasted 17 YEARS. They don't make them like that anymore!
